How to Play
Guess the hidden word to win.
- Guess a Word: Enter a five letter word as your guess. The word must be in our dictionary to be valid.
- Feedback on Your Guess: After you submit your word, the game provides color-coded feedback.
- Green: The letter is in the correct position.
- Yellow: The letter is in the word but in the wrong position.
- Gray: The letter is not in the word at all.
- Refine Your Guesses: Use the feedback to make smarter guesses. You have six attempts to figure out the correct word.
- Win or Lose: If you guess the word within six tries, you win! In One Word you are given an option to watch an ad to retry your last guess. If you don't guess the word it is game over, but don't worry, come back again tomorrow for a new puzzle.
- Daily Challenge: There is only one puzzle per day. Players around the world solve the same word, making it a shared experience.
