About Rummikub

Rummikub (pronounced “Rummy-cube”) is a classic tile-based game that combines elements of the card game Rummy and Mahjong. Suitable for 2 to 4 players, Rummikub is a fast-paced, pattern-recognition game involving color and number combinations. The objective is to be the first player to place all your tiles on the table in proper sets and runs.

The game consists of 106 tiles: Numbers 1–13 in four colors (red, blue, yellow, black) two of each number in each color (104 tiles total), Plus two joker tiles, which can represent any other tile.

Each player starts with 14 tiles, drawn randomly. Players take turns adding or rearranging tiles to create valid sets (three or four of the same number in different colors) and runs (three or more sequential numbers of the same color). The first play each player makes from their rack must total at least 30 points using only tiles from their rack. After that, players can manipulate tiles on the table to help play their own tiles.

The round ends when one player empties their tile rack, or when no further moves are possible. The remaining tiles on other players' racks count as penalty points, and those points are added to the winner's total as gains.
